I'm mostly on Tumblr now, aren't I? STill I should update LJ as it is great for getting out and organizing my thoughts.
First off, my completed thesis is being posted online
here on Smack Jeeves and
here on Tumblr. So far twelve of twenty-two pages are up. They go up one a day, at three PM EST on SJ and a half hour later on Tumblr. Please check it out!
So, if you don't follow me one Tumblr, you probably don't know that I will be doing Artist's Alley this year at AnimeNEXT! ANEXT was the first con I ever went to, as a high school freshman with her mom, so to sell at it is really amazing. I will be with the lovely and talented
mydarkloard and
beejkitty, and will be selling pins and prints as I do at NYAF, but adding in copies of my comics and hopefully some stickers!
I'm trying to add in some new fandoms, and it'll be interesting to see what sells! Unique to this con (and online, when I set that up) will be pins of the Berryz Koubou members in their "Ai no Dangan" suits, to celebrate their performance at AnimeNEXT. I am also doing pins of Community, Batfamily, One Direction, and The Hunger Games (though I haven't read/seen it yet, I just know Katniss and Peeta pins will sell xD). Also, my Big Bang set will finally be finished (I only did GTOP for NYAF), and I am adding some more Doctor Who and Sherlock designs, as those fandoms are my big sellers. For prints, new fandoms will be My Little Pony, as well as maybe Community, Gorillaz, NMB48, and Criminal Minds.
I will be doing some cosplay as well! My first costume is of Momoko from Berryz Koubou in their "Genghis Khan" video. Since Berryz will be there, I have to do some cosplay of them, and the "Genghis Khan" outfit is simple and fun. Another cosplay I will be doing is off a human Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony. Yes, I've been sucked in xD She's so cute and fun, so dressing up as her will be exciting. Lastly, I will be doing a repeat of my Kaede from Tiger & Bunny outfit from NYAF, but fixed up for the rushed version I wore there, with new socks, shorts, and wig. I also have a pink bunny plushie to carry around, like the one from episode five, since I bought one at MangaNEXT.
Lastly, I went to a Childish Gambino concert on Monday with
1863_project! Being the obsessive Donald fangirl I am, I waited two hours on line so that I could have center barrier. It was totally worth it though, as being so close to him was just...hruopejgbuojlnhioknfigjk. Donald is even more beautiful in person! Even seeing him sweat under the bright lights made me flaily, since he felt more real, I guess. I'm no longer making sense. Still, he was great, even if I wish he would perform more Culdesac songs. He did all of the Camp songs I like though, and none of the ones I hate, so I guess that is good! I did make some Community pins for him, but he didn't come out to see the fans. He is not obligated too, and we weren't waiting long, so I'm not really annoyed at him, but more at the security guards who wouldn't give Donald what I made for him and his cast mates. Still, it was a really amazing concert, and he will come back in June, so I don't care! xD The only really negative thing is that Steph got a mild concussion from a crowd surfer being passed over us, but she is not too bad off :)
